Sophia's Story
Bonjour! My name is Sophia Anna O’Brien and I am a singer, actress, & artist based in Norwalk, Connecticut and the Hudson Valley, New York.
Education
I’m currently a freshman at the Norwalk Conservatory of the Arts. After graduation, I intend to move to New York city and pursue a professional career as a performing artist!
Roles & Projects
Over the past 6 years, I have participated in several projects, all of which have taught me something valuable in different ways. However, here are some of my favorite credits:

Won the Roger Rees Award for Best Performance by an actress for my role of Eponine in "Les Misérables" at Fordham Preparatory School

Was a Jimmy Awards nominee and performed at the Minskoff Theatre

Portrayed the part of Lucky in a workshop of the new musical "Star Machine" (Hank & Gideon Temple)
Influences
I am influenced by a wide range of artists and their unique styles, but a few include Greta Gerwig, Maya Hawke, Cynthia Evrio, Amy Winehouse, Beyoncé, Fiona Apple, Lady Gaga, Ben Platt, Billie Holiday, Indya Moore, and Alicia Keys.
Personal Life
When I’m not training, rehearsing, or performing, you can usually find me watching Ru Paul’s Drag Race, listening to my favorite artsits, learning a song on the piano, or writing original music.
I know I would be nowhere if it weren’t for my parents and family. They support me unconditionally and I couldn’t be more thankful to have them in my life. I am also eternally grateful for my teachers, mentors, and the artistic community for continuing to inspire and keep my passion alive. Dreaming of this career wouldn’t be possible if those who haven’t already succeeded at it didn’t offer their guidance, so merci beaucoup!
My Goals
Every day I work towards mastering my craft, gradually training to one day reach an audience emotionally through a story that communicates and educates simultaneously. I hope to be able to inspire and empower audiences just the way my idols have done for me.
Every day I work towards spiritually becoming a better person through self-reflection and helping others. I am so appreciative for the beautiful life I have been blessed with and know I have a vocation and responsibility of giving back.
Every day I work towards living a life of no regrets.
